RenderSnap (“we”, “our”, “us”) is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what data we collect, why we collect it, and how you can control it.

This policy applies to rendersnap.io and all related services. It complies with the UK GDPR, EU GDPR, and California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA).

Account data: name, email address, profile picture (from Google OAuth or entered directly), and password hash.

Usage data: pages visited, features used, render job metadata (project ID, resolution, duration), and API request logs.

Content: video, audio, image, and subtitle files you upload. We store these in Firebase Storage and process them only to provide the Service.

Billing data: subscription plan, payment status. Credit card details are handled directly by Stripe and never stored on our servers.

Technical data: IP address, browser type, device type, and referrer URL — collected via server logs and used for security and diagnostics.

We use your data to:

• Provide, operate, and improve the Service.
• Process render jobs and deliver output files.
• Send transactional emails (render complete, billing receipts, account alerts).
• Enforce our Terms of Service and prevent fraud.
• Comply with legal obligations.

We do not sell your personal data. We do not use your uploaded content to train AI or machine learning models.

We share data with the following trusted third parties, only as necessary to provide the Service:

• Google Firebase — authentication, database (Firestore), and file storage.
• Stripe — payment processing. Subject to Stripe’s Privacy Policy.
• Vercel — hosting and edge functions.

We do not share your data with advertisers or data brokers.

We use strictly necessary cookies for authentication (Firebase session tokens) and user preferences (theme). We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.

You can disable cookies in your browser settings, but this may prevent you from signing in.

We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. Uploaded assets and render outputs are retained according to your plan limits and are deleted 30 days after account closure.

Server logs are retained for up to 90 days for security and debugging purposes.

Depending on your location, you may have the following rights:

• Access — request a copy of your personal data.
• Correction — correct inaccurate data.
• Deletion — request deletion of your data (“right to be forgotten”).
• Portability — receive your data in a machine-readable format.
• Objection — object to processing based on legitimate interests.
• Opt-out (CCPA) — California residents may opt out of the sale of personal data (we do not sell data, but you have this right).

To exercise any of these rights, email privacy@rendersnap.io. We will respond within 30 days.

We implement industry-standard security measures including TLS encryption in transit, AES-256 encryption at rest, role-based access controls, and regular security reviews. No method of transmission is 100% secure; we cannot guarantee absolute security.

The Service is not directed to children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has provided us with data, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.

We may update this policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes via email or a prominent notice in the app. The effective date at the top of this page indicates when the policy was last updated.
